Carrier Operations Management (COM) works across the EU in a cross-functional environment with Carriers, Transportation Execution, Planning and Scheduling organizations to improve Transportation performance and KPIs. They maintain and report up to date and accurate statistics, management reports and analysis at scale managing performance of +5k carriers. They are an expert in the transportation function, able to independently define processes considering long-term sustainability and repeatability. They handle escalations and take ownership of projects/tasks beyond core responsibilities.


Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Engages with performance and analytics teams to develop and understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results.

  2. Investigates root causes of performance failures along with transportation partners to troubleshoot and create processes/actions to sustainably eliminate them.

  3. Determines corrective actions for risks and obstacles with assistance from senior program managers.

  4. Utilizes analytical simulations and assessments to quickly understand the business impact of trends and make quick and informed decisions based on available data.

  5. Plays an active role in training our carriers on new tools and processes, as well as training the wider transportation team on relevant topics.

  6. Serves as escalation point in the network for our Carrier Managers.

  7. Owns, tracks, or escalates issues to ensure that they are addressed and documented.

  8. Owns reporting to Senior Management up to Director Level.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A degree

  2. Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  3. Experience in program or project management

  4. Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  5. Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics

  6. Experience in supply chain

  7. Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  8. Experience in driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience leading process improvements

  2. Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  3. Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
