Responsibilities of the Conflicts Analyst:
- Validate and vet information on the Conflicts Request Form using search engines and other resources; liaise with fee earners for clarification as needed.
- Analyze and interpret complex search results from the firm’s conflict systems and other sources to identify potential conflicts of interest.
- Communicate clearly with fee earners to highlight or identify conflicts of interest related to new matters and clients across all practice areas.
- Escalate complex conflict situations to the Conflicts Manager.
- Conduct additional research using internal and external resources as necessary.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining information barriers using Security Policy Manager.
- Stay informed about legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the Risk & Compliance Team.
- Support ongoing education within the firm regarding conflicts processes and policies.
- Provide assistance and cover for the Conflicts Manager and other team members as needed.
- Handle ad-hoc requests and projects related to New Business Intake and conflicts processes.
