A strategic and people leader for a large team, the Cluster Manager of Amazon Now is empowered with complete operations responsibility for managing dark stores. She/he will work to create a dark stores network, serve customers with a best-in-class quick commerce experience, and manage building-level cost efficiencies, coupled with driving regional/national level key Brilliant Basics Initiatives.


Key job responsibilities


  1. Ensure a safe work environment

  2. Lead and supervise a team of TLs as direct reports, supported by PAs in Operations

  3. Responsible for overall quality, productivity, and dark store performance

  4. Appraise performance, resolve problems, and address staffing needs

  5. Review work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet building objectives

  6. Ensure building health and inventory metrics with best-in-class quality standards

  7. Collaborate with stakeholders and adopt best practices cross-functionally

  8. Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives

  9. Understand system interventions for order processing and communicate new processes and control measures to teams

  10. Carry out resource planning periodically, removing capacity constraints in coordination with Resource Planning and Finance teams

  11. Ensure best practices in people management, compliance, connections, and scorecards

  12. Manage people and team development, creating leaders and a talent pipeline

  13. Maintain good stakeholder and project management skills

  14. Engage in cross-functional interfacing and promote best practices and initiatives


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  1. 2+ years of employee and performance management experience

  2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience

  3. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  1. 2+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
