About the team:
The Fragomen Consular Practice team provides consular and substantive US immigration assistance for both stand-alone cases and as part of a larger immigration application process. The team offers client-centric service for complex and sensitive immigration matters while also maximising efficiencies, ensuring ownership of work and empowering team members to design work practices to meet client expectations. The team also builds partnerships with Fragomen teams across the US to support a diverse and exciting range of clients.
About the role:
Reporting to a Manager or Supervising Paralegal, this role will assist in case processing (reviewing and preparing forms, support letters and Firm correspondence) and assist in the maintenance of case files within the team. They will help maintain a moderate level of cases under supervision.
Other key responsibilities will include:
You will ideally have previous US immigration experience and a strong background in a client facing role.

Our UK team is made up of over 700 people working across two offices, based in London and Sheffield. Both offices are centrally located in their respective cities, with the Sheffield office having the added bonus of free on-site parking. Our people work collaboratively and dynamically in a positive environment, with over 20 different languages being spoken.

Other key responsibilities will include:
- Perform intake of cases once assigned and ensure case is correctly set up on Connect
- Allocate work to Clarizen and review before returning to Senior Paralegal or Associate
- Maintain client contact information
- Initiate tasks with junior team members and coordinators
- Keeps Associate aware of the progress of matters to manage expectations, and informs of conflicting priorities/requesting assistance as problems arise / informing of current capacity
- Take on additional projects as required
You will ideally have previous US immigration experience and a strong background in a client facing role.
Also required:
- Ability to follow the instructions of senior members of staff
- Develop strong working relationships with team members and gains their confidence through displaying professionalism and efficiency in all communications
- Able to plan workload often with conflicting deadlines, able to meet deadlines and priorities for own work, taking into account delivery expectations and agreed client service standards
- Proven ability to generate clear, well-organized written work and able to effectively express oneself verbally in an articulate and polished manner
- Strong listening skills
- Accurate work style; focus on details
