About the Role



As Bookkeeper, you'll take ownership of day-to-day transactional duties while also providing key support during month-end, working confidently up to trial balance. This role offers variety and responsibility, and would suit someone who thrives in a hands-on environment



Key Responsibilities:



Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions



Reconciling bank and supplier statements



Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments



Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts



Maintaining the general ledger and producing trial balance reports



Supporting VAT returns and other compliance activities



Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders where necessary



Please apply now if you have:



Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or finance role



Solid understanding of transactional accounting and month-end procedures



Confidence in working up to trial balance



AAT qualification (or working towards) preferred, but not essential



Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)



Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
