DT Teacher – South Sheffield | Elevate Supply
Elevate Supply is excited to be working in partnership with a creative and forward-thinking secondary school in South Sheffield to recruit a dedicated and inspiring DT Teacher. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a passion for Design & Technology to step into a full-time teaching role in a supportive and well-resourced school environment.
This full-time role is set to start immediately after the May half term and will continue until the end of the autumn term, with strong potential for extension or progression into a longer-term or permanent position.
Pay Rate: £140 – £200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role

Your Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons across product design, resistant materials, or similar disciplines
- Create a safe, structured, and stimulating workshop/classroom environment
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support
- Prepare resources and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with other subject teachers to enrich cross-curricular links
- Inspire students with real-world applications of design and innovation
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in DT or a related field
- Recent experience teaching DT in a secondary school setting (KS3 & KS4)
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Creativity, initiative, and a passion for hands-on learning
- A professional and adaptable teaching approach
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
