Despatch Operative - Grade 3

Our Fletchers bakery has over 125 years of baking tradition, with our Kara bakery supplying delicious wholesale bakery products for over 35 years starting with the first floured bap. Both have been part of the Finsbury Food Group since 2014. Fletchers Bakery can trace its roots back to 1895 and both bakeries portfolio of products have risen (get it?) to include gourmet brioche, traditional sliced bread, bloomer breads and vegan and gluten free options, to name a but a few.

Job Purpose

To work productively as part of a team to reach production targets on a daily basis whilst being vigilant and proactive throughout the factory to maximise outputs. Throughout the shifts strict health, safety and hygiene standards must be adhered to, ensuring products are made to the highest standards.

Key Accountabilities

• Part of a team receiving stock 180k+ cases per week.
• Part of a team controlling stock up to 70000k per annum.
• Responsible for ensuring quality and all GMP standards are adhered to.
• Follow Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s).
• Stock taking.
• Check rotation of stock.
• Order assembly.
• Correct loading procedure.
• Departmental safety.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Legality and Quality Systems.
• The job holder is responsible for working as part of a team
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

• Strong communication skills and good social skills, gets on well with people.
• Good work ethic is essential as is reliability and commitment to the company.
• Have pride in your work and add complete a task from start to finish.
• To be numerate.
• Food Hygiene experience is desirable although not essential.
• Manual handling experience is desirable although not essential.
• FLT and PPT 1 & 2 experience is desirable although not essential.
