Job Description Care Navigator /Medical Receptionist Location Sheffield S LY :
Woodhouse Health Centre is a large GP practice in the south of Sheffield. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and friendly person to join our team of Care Navigators/Medical Receptionists. System one trained preferred .
As a member of our Reception team, you will be the first point of contact for patients and outside agencies visiting or telephoning the practice. You will need to display a courteous manner, be non-judgemental with excellent communication and listening skills along with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt quickly to respond to multiple demands, ensuring complete confidentiality is always maintained.
The post requires undertaking of a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, processing of information and assisting patients as required. Your role in the practice means you will be the central point of contact for patients and be responsible for the distribution of information, taking messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community providers. The ideal candidate must be able to prioritise workload, be organised, have good grammar, is reliable and is able to work using their own initiative and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate would have experience of working in a patient or customer service environment, have good telephone skills, enjoy a varied job role, and be flexible in covering for colleagues during times of leave and at short notice sick leave. IT skills are essential with experience of using MS Office, the candidate should have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment as general practice is extremely busy.
Successful candidates will be given 6.2 weeks of annual leave per year, plus bank holidays, along with the benefits of an NHS pension
One full time position available - Hours to be discussed at interview
