The role: Business Development Manager - National



An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our clients highly performing and ambitious sales team, with the freedom to target potential customers Nationally. Your day to day will involve booking and attending face to face meetings with potential new customers, selling a fantastic range of internal and external perimeter security installations such as vehicle/security barriers, road blockers, garage doors, bollards, gates, turnstiles and fencing. In this role you will need to be an experienced new business hunter with the ability to split your time between seeking out new potential opportunities, attending site surveys/client meetings, putting together quotations and closing business.


You will need to demonstrate an excellent ability to seek out potential new opportunities, identify and reach out to appropriate decision makers, rapport building, listening, and organisational skills as well as a level of technical understanding of products of this nature, to credibly discuss suitable solutions to prospective customers. Operating from home you will need to be highly organised, self motivated and efficient in your journey planning. You will predominantly be targeting end users, which could be any business in any sector, but also reaching out to potential clients within the Facilities Management and Security Provision sector.


With a vast number of solutions in the portfolio, you have a broad range to present to potential customers, and you are tasked with obtaining all the required detail from the client to ensure the most suitable solution is presented to them. There will be a number of incoming enquiries to follow up on, but the majority of your opportunities will come from proactive outreach.




The Person



  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a field based sales role.

  • Must have prior experience selling perimeter security solutions or something very closely related.

  • Previous experience conducting site surveys and putting together quotations.

  • Ambitious, motivated, driven and highly organised.




The Package

  • £45-60k basic salary (DOE) + £12k OTE (although this is uncapped so potential to earn more)

  • Competitive Car Allowance or Company Car

The companyEstablished almost 20 years ago, our client are a distributor and installer of perimeter security solutions, working with the best manufacturers in the market and known for their quality and service. Working for this smaller subsidiary of a larger group you have all the benefits of working for a large, multi-million pound business with the feel of a smaller, family run business.


LocationWorking from home, the ideal candidate will be based no further North than Leeds, no further South West than Bristol and no further South East than North London.
