The Manager Human Resources for Leica Biosystems is a strong business partner, driving HR strategies that align with business objectives and foster growth across Europe North. This role is responsible for supporting recruitment, engagement, development, and retention efforts to ensure that business needs and strategic plans are met. The HR Manager acts as a consultant to management on HR-related issues and champions the growth and development of associates. The HR manager acts as a change agent and continues to drive the evolution of our engaged and inclusive culture.
This position is part of the EMEA HR Team and will be remote. You will report to the HR Director EMEA. In case of someone close to one location of ours, in Amsterdam (NL) or Milton Keynes (UK) would be much appreciated if the person could go with complete flexibility onsite.

In this role, you will have the importunity to:
- Actively contribute to organizational development by implementing HR strategies that enhance effectiveness and growth. Develop and align HR strategies with business goals to drive growth across Europe North.
- Provide ongoing HR expertise and support to assigned client groups including coaching, consulting, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, associate development, performance management, recruiting/staffing, and front-line support for HR-related questions
- Consult with leaders and managers on business and performance needs and serves as an advocate for the associate, management, and Company by partnering with employees and leaders to address concerns, explain HR policies/practices, and facilitate team effectiveness
- Partner with leaders to define talent needs, and plan workforce and talent pipeline requirements in line with business strategy. Supports leaders in providing associates with development opportunities that align with current and future business requirements.
- Drive annual HR processes for the assigned client group including performance management, talent assessment, succession planning, talent development, compensation planning, annual engagement survey, etc.
- Facilitate smooth transitions during organizational changes by preparing employees, managing resistance, and ensuring effective communication.
- Use HR analytics to inform strategic decisions, identify areas for improvement, and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
- University's Degree in relevant discipline required (e.g. Business, Psychology)
- Several years of HR Strategic Partner experience within a fast-paced organization; ideally in a corporate/multinational with a global matrix structure
- Solid understanding of HR processes and (national) employment legislation
- Fluent English; Dutch is a plus
- Experience with HR systems (ideally Workday), Excel, and PowerPoint with strong analytical skills
