Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant, DevOps Engineer


Seeking a highly skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to support a critical program focused on integrating IBM MQ into Kubernetes environments. This role demands strong automation capabilities, hands-on expertise in modern CI/CD toolchains, and solid experience with container orchestration platforms. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the automation and deployment, while working closely with stakeholders across DevOps, architecture, and infrastructure teams.


Responsibilities



  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell scripting, Python, and Ansible for deployment, configuration, and management tasks.

  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to support continuous integration and delivery across environments.

  • Containerize applications and services using Docker, and manage deployments using Helm charts.

  • Develop and expose APIs to support integration and automation workflows.

  • Collaborate with platform and middleware teams to ensure scalability, resilience, and performance of the MQ infrastructure.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes-based deployments, providing timely resolutions to issues.

  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Ensure security and compliance best practices are followed in the automation and deployment processes.

    Minimum Qualifications / Skills


    B.Tech/ BE/ MCA


    Preferred Qualifications/ Skills



    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes services

    • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools

    • Prior experience working in financial or other large-scale enterprise domains.

    • Certifications in Kubernetes, DevOps, or cloud platforms are a plus.



    • Proven experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration in production environments.

    • Hands-on scripting experience using Shell, Python, and Ansible.

    • Strong expertise in Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline automation.

    • Practical knowledge of Helm for packaging and deploying applications on Kubernetes.

    • Good understanding of IBM MQ, its architecture, and deployment patterns (preferably in containerized environments).

    • Experience in building or consuming REST APIs.

    • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and infrastructure as code (IaC).

    • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in stakeholder management.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
