We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Fabrication Estimator to join our manufacturing team in Rotherham or Stockton.

Position
Role Purpose
This role supports the preparation and submission of accurate, timely quotations and bids by maintaining registers, developing cost estimates, and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers. It requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a solid understanding of industry standards, HSE legislation, and quality systems.

Position
Role Purpose
This role supports the preparation and submission of accurate, timely quotations and bids by maintaining registers, developing cost estimates, and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers. It requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a solid understanding of industry standards, HSE legislation, and quality systems.
Accountability
- Maintain the quotation and bid register using AESSOP, ensure information is accurate
- Ensure bid dates are known and adhered to
- Understand the wider bid requirements and seek support where required
- Support the development of accurate cost estimates of both labour and materials from concept drawings and sketches, task descriptions and proposal documents
- Working from received equipment / drawings or possible site visits
- Liaising closely with other departments to refine internal cost estimates
- Upload bids to client portals where applicable
- Working with supply chain to develop estimates and / or drawing on historical cost records and modifying as necessary
- Obtaining quotations for 3 party goods and services
- Submitting official quotations to clients
- Detailed writing of customer proposals to meet and exceed their expectations including fully specification compliant quotations and data sheets
- Basic sizing of vessels and heat exchangers for estimating purposes
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business.
- Sustain a safe and clean working environment.
- Comply with all company procedures and policies.
Experience
- QHSE Auditing qualifications, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent along with significant previous experience in senior QHSE roles
- Proven experience across multiple industries, such as renewables, industrials, manufacturing, nuclear and defence
- Excellent understanding of HSE legislation, management systems and practices
- Excellent understanding of quality standards such as ISO 17020, ISO 9001 and ISO14001
- Confident to engage with all levels of the business
- Logical and analytical approach
- Efficient, with good attention to detail
- Willingness to learn from others and share best practice
- Thorough, tenacious and results orientated
- IT literate with good experience in Microsoft package
