Position: SEN Teacher


Location: Special Schools in Sheffield
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
Start Date: Immediate


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to apply for the role of Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher. Applicants must hold a valid QTS.


About the Role


As an SEN Teacher, you will support the academic and social development of children with diverse abilities. Your responsibilities include creating engaging curricula, implementing effective teaching strategies, and helping students reach their full potential. You will collaborate with a team to ensure students receive quality education, care, and emotional support.


Key Responsibilities



  1. Develop engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and tailored to students' needs.

  2. Utilize creative instructional strategies, including hands-on activities, group projects, and multimedia resources.

  3. Deliver clear and effective lessons to ensure student understanding and engagement.

  4. Adapt teaching methods and resources for students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other needs.

  5. Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching approaches as needed.

  6. Provide constructive feedback to students and families to support their development.

  7. Maintain a positive classroom environment, managing behaviour and encouraging participation.

  8. Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to provide personalized support.

  9. Support students' social and emotional development, building trusting relationships and guiding them through challenges.

  10. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns.

  11. Assist with personal care and promote inclusivity, ensuring dignity and support for all students.

  • QTS
