Job Title: IAM Business Analyst – Financial Services (Contract)
Location: Sheffield – Hybrid (3 Days/Week Onsite)
Duration: 6-Month Initial Contract

Are you an experienced IAM Business Analyst with a passion for cloud security and a background in financial services? Our prestigious financial services client, based in Sheffield, is seeking a contract IAM Business Analyst to support a major identity and access management programme across multi-cloud environments.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site in Sheffield.
The Opportunity:
As the IAM Business Analyst, you will play a key role in assessing, mapping, and improving identity and access management processes across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes platforms. You’ll work closely with technical teams, security SMEs, and stakeholders to drive analysis, identify gaps, and recommend least-privilege access models and IAM improvements.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where your deep domain knowledge in cloud IAM and financial services environments will be essential.
Required Technical Expertise:
Cloud-Specific IAM Experience (Must-Have):
AWS IAM: Deep understanding of users, groups, roles, policies, SCPs; ability to audit and recommend least-privilege improvements.
Azure Active Directory & RBAC: Knowledge of AD constructs, Conditional Access, PIM, and Azure RBAC.
GCP IAM: Strong grasp of principals, custom roles, bindings, and policy auditing at scale.
Kubernetes RBAC: Knowledge of Role/ClusterRole Bindings and their integration with cloud-native IAM (EKS, AKS, GKE).
SaaS IAM: Understanding of SSO (SAML, OAuth, OIDC), SCIM provisioning, and identity lifecycle management in tools like Office 365.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst within IT Security, IAM, or Governance.
- Prior experience within financial services is essential.
- Experience documenting IAM architectures and workflows across cloud platforms.
- Strong gap-analysis capability—identifying weaknesses and proposing actionable improvements.
- Familiar with reviewing Terraform or CloudFormation templates for IAM misconfigurations.
- Adept at facilitating workshops, translating technical findings into business language, and driving consensus across teams.
- Confident with cloud consoles and CLI tools (AWS, Azure, GCP).
