Senior MEICA Estimator

We're looking for a Senior Estimator to join our Natural Resources Team , with a focus on MEICA you'll cover estimating tasks on our well established Severn Trent framework which is growing in AMP8.

Location: With remote working, you'll also be able to travel to client sites and offices the Severn Trent patch

Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know

What are my responsibilities?

As a Mechanical & Electrical Senior Estimator you'll work closely with other members of our framework delivery team and the Client, to deliver value for money solutions in line with the framework requirements.

Your Day To Day Will Include

• Input into all aspects of the pre-construction phase of projects, including early contractor involvement and carrying out pre-work prior to tenders arriving.
• Preparing multi-discipline tender pricing with the ability to produce differing levels of pricing, from top-down budgets to bottom-up lump sums or targets.
• Read and understand the client specifications and drawings whilst considering site safety, health, quality and environmental issues.
• Attend internal and external reviews and progress meetings as well as site visits/meetings.
• Ascertain preliminary and detailed project requirements and solutions, including programmes and value engineering solutions, with identification of risk and opportunities.
  
  
  

What are we looking for?

This Senior Estimator is great for you if you have:

• A proven track record of successfully delivering tenders/pricing of varying size/complexity in the water industry and an ability to manage a portfolio of projects in a framework environment.
• Experience of the pre-construction phase of projects to quickly identify risks and opportunities.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with a good understanding of clients requirements and general commercial awareness.
• Have experience of working on construction projects, preferably in the water industry with good knowledge and experience of the processes and mechanical and electrical assets used within the Water Industry.
