The acquisition has secured our role as a critical supplier to the next generation of UK defence programmes. As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.


Based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Maintenance Electrician. This rolewill involve working aspart of the maintenance team, carrying out repairs and planned maintenance on main forging presses.


Role Responsibilities



  • Maintenance of all plant equipment including but not limited to:

    • DC & AC Cranes

    • Hydraulic presses and equipment

    • Open-die forge presses with manipulators

    • Radial forging machines



  • New Installations

  • Working at Height

  • Working to safe systems of work at all times

  • Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the Planning of maintenance work is completed


About You


The following relevant skills, knowledge and experience are required.


Fully trained as an electrician


Trained to 17th edition regulations and standards


Good knowledge of Electrical Installation


Fault finding skills on both D.C and A.C controls


Conversant with both predictive and planned maintenance techniques


Experience working onheavy industrial equipment (e.g. overhead cranes, AC, DC)


Willing and able to work shifts


Days/Hours of Work


Average of 40 hours per week.Continental shift pattern: 06.00 – 18.00, 18.00 – 06.00
