    ATA Recruitment are exclusively working with a global leading provider of materials handling solutions with offices Worldwide including Sweden, Netherlands, Australia, and the USA.


    Founded in 1975 our client has been a leader in state-of-the-art technological solutions for the water treatment sector, they provide a full turnkey model from the initial consultation to then design, build, and installation. Due to increase market demand, they are searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic engineering function based in Sheffield. You will be working alongside industry experts on varied and challenging projects, applying your expertise and experience to achieve robust designs for their customer base.

    The Role:


    As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have a key role to provide and implement your expertise on various projects, working on new orders and projects from cradle to grave.


    The Mechanical Design Engineer’s key responsibility will be to:



  • Produce both bespoke and standard 3D models using Autodesk Inventor CAD package.

  • Prepare 2D drawings for manufacture.

  • Produce BOMs, and parts lists.

  • Collaborate with production, sales and other internal departments.

  • Implement and use sound engineering principles.

  • Be a key part of improvements and changes within the design function.

  • Apply learned knowledge and experience to help drive the success of the business.



    • The Candidate:


    To be successful in your application for the Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need:



  • CAD experience in 2D and 3D.

  • Excellent engineering principles.

  • A mechanical engineering qualification.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Good knowledge of MS office packages.



    • The Benefits:


    For the Mechanical Design Engineer role, you will receive:



  • £45,000 - £55,000

  • 4% Matched Pension Contribution

  • 23 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

  • Flexible Start & Finish Times
