The acquisition has secured our role as a critical supplier to the next generation of UK defence programmes. As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.


Based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Bids Co-Ordinator. This role will involve providing administrative support for the Sales / Bids team.


Role Responsibilities


  • Manage receipt of new enquiries and support and co-ordinate activities to produce high quality bid packages.


  • General administration duties including: Organising meetings, invoicing, data collation and support to sales.


  • Manage and develop ERP and administration systems to ensure the sales / bids process from enquiry to final proposal is aligned to SFEL Works Operating Procedures.


  • Establish and monitor internal SLA’s.


  • Process and validate new orders received into the business against original tender documents.


  • Collate and report on bid / proposal feedback.


  • Maintain and issue reports on financial Figures.


  • Manage and respond to RFQ’s.


  • Prepare draft quotes.


About You


The following relevant skills, knowledge and experience are required.


  • Previous experience working in a administration / co-ordination role, ideally previous experience in sales administration. 



  • Strong communication skills.



  • Good working knowledge of Excel.



  • Strong Numeracy skills. 



  • Highly organised with strong time management.



  • High attention to detail



Days/Hours of Work


37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with flexible start and finish time between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 – 18:00
