Working closely with the Head of England Content, you’ll ensure teams are set up to deliver impactful content efficiently, effectively and at scale. This role combines strong project leadership with deep educational insight, supporting collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement - always with the teacher and learner in mind.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Management & Operational Delivery

  • Lead cross-functional, high-impact projects that drive the development and delivery of curriculum-aligned content, ensuring clarity, efficiency and educational value.
  • Scope and manage initiatives that may include collaboration with educators or school-based settings to inform content strategy and effectiveness.
  • Identify and address blockers to content creation through innovative, scalable solutions.
  • Align project goals with broader organisational strategy, working closely with other teams such as Product, Innovation, Schools, Thought Leadership and Marketing.
  • Translate educational priorities into clear, actionable project plans with defined milestones and success measures.

Operational Leadership & Team Enablement

  • Act as a deputy to the Head of England Content, stepping into leadership, planning and decision-making responsibilities as needed.
  • Build and embed operational systems that enable and empower the Education Content Leads (ECLs) to focus on pedagogical quality and subject expertise.
  • Improve team workflows through strong project management practices, documentation standards, and internal communication.
  • Drive a high-trust, high-performance culture focused on delivering impactful educational content.
  • This post will hold line management responsibilities.

Data-Informed Strategy & Educational Impact

  • Champion the use of data and evidence to prioritise content work and measure success.
  • Design and lead innovative projects to ensure decisions reflect classroom needs and educational outcomes.
  • Build systems to track progress against team goals and educational KPIs, improving transparency and accountability.
  • Create feedback loops and reporting structures to support continuous improvement and impact tracking.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with operational and content leads to ensure systems, tooling and infrastructure meet the needs of curriculum-focused teams.
  • Strengthen collaboration across the organisation to streamline the content lifecycle - from ideation to classroom delivery.
  • Lead reviews of internal processes and structures, identifying opportunities for further enablement of Educational Content Leads and the Managers.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a primary educator, with deep knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
  • Strong operational or strategic leadership experience within an education-focused team or organisation.
  • Proven success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects that have delivered measurable improvements in outcomes or team effectiveness.
  • Deep understanding of how to support educational content creators at scale through systems, tools and training.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and performance insights to drive continuous improvement in educational delivery.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Experience implementing operational best practices such as process mapping, change management and performance tracking.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fostering innovation in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

To Succeed in the Role, You Will

  • Be passionate about educational content and pedagogy and deeply motivated by supporting teams who create learning resources.
  • Bring a strong bias for action - unblocking teams, aligning stakeholders and driving projects forward.
  • Balance strategic foresight with hands-on delivery, always grounded in the real-world needs of educators and students.
  • Be relentlessly focused on impact and clarity - helping teams stay aligned to purpose while working at pace.
  • Champion collaboration, trust, and high performance across the team.
  • Hold high expectations for yourself and others, always with a focus on how operational excellence supports better education.
