The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Manual Machinist to join a busy and well-established machine shop. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality components to precise specifications, ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards.

Working Hours for the Manual Machinist

• 40 hours per week


• Rotating weekly shifts (Days & Nights)

Days: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:30

Nights: Monday – Thursday, 18:00 – 04:00 (finish Friday morning)

• 33% shift allowance applied on night shifts

Key Responsibilities for the Manual Machinist

• Machine components from engineering drawings to exact specifications


• Operate manual lathes and associated equipment


• Ensure all work meets required quality standards


• Interpret technical drawings accurately


• Maintain a clean and safe working environment


• Work to production targets and deadlines

About You and Your Manual Machinist Experience 

• Experience operating manual lathes


• Ability to read engineering drawings


• Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds, and speeds


• High attention to detail


• Good communication and teamwork skills


• Flexible and proactive approach
