Role: Assistant Workplace Manager

Location: Darlington or Sheffield – 3 days in-office, 2 days remote

Contract Length: 6 months | IR35: Inside

Role Purpose:

The Assistant Workplace Manager will support the Workplace Service Delivery team in managing supplier performance, contract compliance, and operational delivery across client’s Northeast portfolio. The role involves monitoring performance, resolving client issues, supporting contract management, and collaborating across teams to ensure service standards and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor supplier performance, work orders, PPM compliance, and delay approvals using digital tools.
• Capture and resolve customer issues via CRM and helpdesk, escalating where necessary.
• Support management of supply-chain partners and participate in governance meetings.
• Collaborate with internal teams (H&S, Security, Engineering, Sustainability) to maintain compliance.
• Maintain operational risk registers, change control registers, and financial approvals.
• Assist with audits, supplier self-audits, and contractual updates.
• Travel regionally as required.

Person Specification:

• Experienced in property/workplace service management and supplier management (FM: Soft, Hard, Security).
• Knowledge of asset management, contract management, and customer service excellence.
• Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision-making, and compliance awareness.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
• Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with building leases and building management.
• Experience in project management.
• Experience using digital CAFM and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of AI and FM sector.

Desirable:

• Understanding of project management principles, commercial building services, and digital reporting tools.
