An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced compliance professional to join a well-established and rapidly growing consumer finance business as a Regulatory Compliance Team Manager.


This is a key second-line role reporting to the Head of Compliance, with responsibility for leading a small team and ensuring the effective delivery of compliance monitoring, regulatory advice, policy management, and risk oversight activities.


The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining a robust compliance framework while supporting the business in meeting its regulatory obligations and delivering positive customer outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a small Compliance team
  • Manage the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Review and challenge compliance outputs, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Oversee the identification, escalation and remediation of compliance issues
  • Support the maintenance of policies, procedures and regulatory controls
  • Provide practical regulatory advice and guidance across the business
  • Monitor regulatory developments and support change implementation
  • Produce compliance reporting for senior management and governance forums
  • Promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation


About You

You will be an experienced compliance professional with a background in consumer credit, lending, or a similar FCA-regulated environment.


Essential Experience

  • Regulatory compliance experience within financial services
  • Experience managing, mentoring or developing team members
  • Conducting compliance monitoring reviews and providing meaningful challenge
  • Supporting regulatory change initiatives and compliance improvements
  • Producing clear, practical and risk-based compliance advice


Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of FCA regulation, including Consumer Duty, CONC, SYSC and PRIN
  • Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act and data protection requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organisational abilities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to balance regulatory requirements with commercial objectives
