Workshop & Site Based (approx. 60/40 split)

We’re recruiting for an experienced Electromechanical Fitter to join a specialist heavy engineering workshop in Sheffield.

This role involves stripping, inspecting, repairing and rebuilding large AC/DC motors and rotating equipment for industrial clients.

The Role:

• Disassembly and inspection of electric motors


• Bearing replacement (including white metal)


• Fault diagnosis and root cause analysis


• Basic electrical testing


• Reassembly and preparation for test


• Occasional site work and short stays away when required

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience with rotating equipment / motor repair


• Strong mechanical fitting background


• Able to read drawings and assess wear/damage


• Comfortable working both independently and in a team


• Flexible for occasional site work


• Overtime available.
