JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting manufacturing company to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist to join their established engineering team. The Successful Manual Machinist – Package:

• £35,300 – £40,800 per annum (paid hourly)


• Rotating 3 Shift Pattern:
  
  
  
  • Days: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  
  
  • Lates: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
  
  
  • Nights: 8:45pm – 6:00am (4 nights per week)
  
  
  
  


• Overtime Available:
  
  
  
  • 1.3x (time and a third) for the first 2 hours
  
  
  • 1.5x (time and a half) on all hours worked above 39.5 per week

The Successful Manual Machinist – Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating manual machining equipment within a manufacturing environment


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings


• Experience producing dimensionally accurate components to tight tolerances


• Competent using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges, and inspection equipment


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality


• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to production deadlines


• Capable of working independently and as part of a team


• Flexible approach towards shift work and overtime requirements


• Good understanding of health & safety, environmental standards, and quality procedures


• Strong written and verbal communication skills
