The Role
We’re looking for a commercially driven Sales Executive to help grow Digital Ship’s partnerships and revenue.
This is a business development-led role, ideal for someone who thrives on opening doors, building relationships, and creating value-led commercial partnerships.
You’ll be responsible for selling multi-touchpoint campaigns across our full media ecosystem, including:
- Podcast guest appearances and sponsorship (Undocked)
- Newsletter sponsorship (The Signal)
- Events & summits
- ‘Bring a Customer’ webinars
- Leaderboard banner advertising
- Thematic journal advertising
- Digital Ship studio campaigns (content-led partnerships)
This is not a transactional sales role, we’re looking for someone who can identify client needs and build strategic, long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and engage new commercial opportunities across the maritime and technology ecosystem
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospects, from first outreach through to close
- Sell integrated, multi-channel campaigns
- Work closely with editorial, events, and content teams to shape compelling client propositions
- Understand client objectives and translate them into tailored campaign solutions
- Contribute to achieving Digital Ship’s £582k annual revenue target
- Support the growth of key areas, including:
- Events as a primary revenue driver
- Multi-touchpoint partnerships
- Digital Ship Studio campaigns
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and upsell opportunities

Who We're Looking For
You’re a self-starter with commercial hunger, someone who enjoys the challenge of building relationships and closing deals. You'll be:
- Driven, proactive, and results-oriented
- Confident in outreach and “hunting” for new business
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Curious and consultative in your sales approach
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
Your Experience
- Experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles (maritime experience a bonus, not essential)
- Experience selling marketing, media, events, or B2B services is advantageous
- Track record of hitting or exceeding targets (or clear evidence of commercial drive)

Base Salary £30,000 - £35,000 DoE
