Graduate Architectural Technologist

Sheffield

Up to £28K per annum


A great opportunity to join a growing, design-focused architectural practice working on a diverse range of refurbishment and new-build projects across multiple sectors.


About the Role

  • Assist in the production of technical drawings and details using AutoCAD and Revit, including plans, elevations, and construction details in line with industry standards.
  • Support the development of CAD drawings from SketchUp models, surveys, and project information.
  • Collaborate with team members and external consultants to produce design documentation for refurbishment and new-build projects.
  • Assist in reviewing drawings and technical information to ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards.
  • Contribute to planning, building control, and statutory approval submissions.
  • Support the preparation of specifications (including NBS) and tender documentation.
  • Attend site visits, surveys, and project meetings to support project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and assist with resolving design and construction queries (RFIs).

Candidate Profile

  • A recent graduate in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit, with an understanding of technical drawing principles.
  • Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methods (academic or practical).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn from senior colleagues.
  • Motivated to develop professionally and work towards CIAT accreditation.
