The Job:

Responsible for driving value and aligning procurement activities with the company’s strategic objectives. The role will involve purchasing a variety of indirect MRO-related products and services, as well as some business services including IT contracts.

• Purchasing indirect products and services in line with the company's requirements and ensuring measurable commercial and operational outcomes within the MRO and business services categories
• Building and developing strong supplier relationships
• Monitoring supplier data to ensure performance levels are within agreed SLAs
• Carrying out supplier visits and audits
• Implementing and embedding procurement improvements
• Engaging with stakeholders, driving budget compliance and develop tender specifications

Required experience:

• At least 6 years' experience in an MRO/spares/parts focused or Indirect purchasing role, at Senior Buyer level or above
• Evidence of high spend and autonomous category responsibility
• Experience with MRO and business services/other indirect spend category
• Proven solid negotiation skills
• Experience within manufacturing purchasing is an advantage.
• CIPS qualification or working towards/equivalent
