Part Time Cleaning Operative

• Job Type: Part-time 6.00am - 9.00am, Temporary (2 - 3 months)
• Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour (PAYE)

Sheffield City Council are looking for a Part-Time Cleaning Operative for a temporary assignment lasting 2-3 months. The role is based in the Moorfoot Building and involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in office environments.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Clean various areas within the Moorfoot Building, including offices, kitchens, and toilets.
• Responsibilities include wiping desks, emptying bins, hoovering, mopping floors, and cleaning glass surfaces.
• Maintain showers and other communal areas to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and in a manner that complies with health and safety regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous cleaning experience is essential.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing a high standard of cleanliness.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
