Are you a commercially minded qualified accountant looking for an opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing business?
We're recruiting a Finance Manager to join a well-established and market-leading organisation based in Sheffield. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to influence business performance, strengthen commercial decision-making and support the continued development of the finance function.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working beyond the numbers, building strong relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, delivering meaningful commercial insight and driving continuous improvement.
The RoleReporting into the finance leadership team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial analysis and commercial insight across the business, acting as a trusted finance business partner to a wide range of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a Finance Business Partner across both finance and non-finance teams
- Producing meaningful management information and commercial reporting
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Delivering detailed variance analysis and performance commentary
- Developing project costing, margin analysis and profitability reporting
- Supporting improvements in financial controls and reporting processes
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and continuous improvement
- Contributing towards the ongoing development of the finance function
- Building strong relationships across the business to provide commercial challenge and support informed decision-making
We're looking for a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys adding value beyond traditional reporting.
You'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong management accounting experience
- Experience of finance business partnering with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Experience of project costing, stock accounting or WIP reporting
- Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process enhancement
- £50,000–£60,000 salary, depending on experience
- Hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 days from home)
