Salary - £26,000 - £28,000

Our client, a thriving manufacturing business with a longstanding history in Sheffield are looking for People Assistant to join their HR team!

Key Responsibilities:

As a People Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR, People and Culture department. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Providing administrative support, maintaining employee records, and handling correspondence.
• Assisting with the recruitment process: posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.
• Supporting onboarding for new employees, including reference checks and probationary reviews.
• Ensuring compliance with GDPR and managing sensitive information discreetly.
• Coordinating training sessions, managing registrations, and updating the skills matrix.
• Assisting in various initiatives to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
• Providing reception cover
• Updating policies to ensure compliance with UK employment law.

What We're Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• HR administration experience and knowledge of recruitment and employee relations.
• Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
• A basic understanding of UK employment law and HR practises.
• Exceptional organisational skills and a structured working style.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with a 'can-do' attitude.
