Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business that supplies complex, safety-critical components into a range of demanding industries. Due to continued growth, they're looking to strengthen their Quality team with an experienced Quality Engineer who can make a real impact.
The RoleWorking alongside Production, Engineering and Technical teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring products meet customer expectations and quality standards from start to finish. You'll investigate quality issues, drive corrective actions and help improve processes across the business.
What You'll Be Doing- Investigating internal and customer quality issues using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys and Fishbone Analysis.
- Leading root cause investigations and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Monitoring quality performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Supporting and maintaining the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Carrying out internal audits and supporting customer and third-party audits.
- Reviewing customer specifications and ensuring compliance throughout manufacture.
- Producing quality documentation including NCRs, inspection reports and quality metrics.
- Working closely with production teams to resolve manufacturing quality concerns.
- Analysing quality data and presenting improvement recommendations.
- Supporting supplier quality activities where required.
You'll already have experience in a Quality Engineer role within manufacturing and enjoy working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Ideally you'll have:
- Experience within heavy engineering, foundry, forging, casting, steel or precision manufacturing.
- A good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience leading root cause investigations and managing corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to work with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
- Internal Auditor qualification.
- Knowledge of metallurgical or foundry processes.
- Experience of NDT or inspection techniques.
- Familiarity with PPAP, FMEA, APQP or Control Plans.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
