Working Hours: Monday-Friday

Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a switched-on, hands-on Working Supervisor to join a school project in Sheffield. This is a role for someone who is comfortable getting involved in the works themselves, while also supervising trades and subcontractors and keeping the project running smoothly.

The successful candidate will need to be proactive, practical and able to use their initiative, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Duties

• Day-to-day supervision of trades and subcontractors.
• Work alongside the site team and get involved in the works.
• Safely lift and move school desks and furniture to allow the flooring subcontractor to carry out their works.
• Coordinate and assist the flooring subcontractor with access to work areas.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with site procedures.
• Monitor quality and progress of works.
• Liaise with the Contracts Manager and provide updates on progress.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day issues on site using initiative.
• Maintain a clean, safe and controlled working environment.
• Ensure the project remains organised and on programme.

• Relevant CSCS Card
• Asbestos Awareness
• First Aid

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, switched on and proactive, with previous experience supervising construction works. They should be comfortable taking responsibility on site, getting involved practically and dealing with issues as they arise.
