Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next opportunity to the lead the finance function for a Sheffield SME?

Due to retirement, our client is looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Finance Manager on an initial temporary basis during a handover period. With the business continuing to perform well, this is a permanent role for the right individual.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team and take ownership of a varied finance role where you'll play an important part in the day to day running of the accounts function.

The Role

You'll be responsible for a broad range of bookkeeping duties, including:

• Managing the Purchase Ledger from start to finish.
• Maintaining the Sales Ledger and processing customer invoices.
• Assisting with Credit Control and customer account queries.
• Running a small monthly payroll.
• Completing bank reconciliations.
• Performing supplier statement reconciliations.
• Supporting with general bookkeeping and finance administration.
• Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks when required.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys a varied workload and is happy to get involved across all areas of transactional finance.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience within a Bookkeeping or Accounts role.
• Strong Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger experience.
• Knowledge of bank and statement reconciliations.
• Experience processing payroll (desirable).
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A positive, team-focused attitude with a proactive approach to your work.
