CRA Consulting
Role: Personal Injury Solicitor / Fee Earner
Location: Sheffield
Working Pattern: Full-time | Office Based Preferred
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 DOE
CRA Consulting are working with a well-established law firm on the outskirts of Sheffield who are looking to recruit an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or Fee Earner to join their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid claimant personal injury background who enjoys running their own caseload and wants to join a friendly, established practice where they can have plenty of autonomy.
The firm can offer a stable working environment, competitive salary and the opportunity to take ownership of a varied personal injury caseload.
- Salary of £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
- Established Sheffield law firm
- Predominantly Fast Track litigation caseload
- Good level of autonomy
- Competitive pension
- Additional employee benefits
- Accessible Sheffield location with good transport links
- Opportunity to develop within an established PI practice
You will be responsible for managing your own claimant personal injury caseload, with the majority of matters involving Fast Track litigation.
The role will include:
- Managing personal injury claims from instruction through to settlement
- Handling litigated Fast Track matters
- Investigating liability, causation and quantum
- Reviewing medical evidence and valuing claims
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and schedules of loss
- Negotiating with defendant insurers and solicitors
- Making and responding to Part 36 offers
- Ensuring compliance with court directions and limitation dates
- Providing a high standard of client care throughout the claim
- Progressing files proactively towards settlement or trial
We're keen to speak with Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives and experienced Personal Injury Fee Earners who have a good understanding of claimant personal injury litigation.
Previous experience handling RTA and/or Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims would be particularly beneficial.
You don't necessarily need to tick every box. The firm is primarily looking for someone with a good grounding in personal injury who is comfortable running files and understands the litigation process.
Salary is expected to be in the region of £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, alongside a good pension and wider benefits package.
The firm would prefer someone who is happy to be based in the Sheffield office full-time, so this could particularly suit someone who enjoys being part of a team and prefers an office-based working environment.
The Sheffield personal injury market remains busy, but finding the right environment is just as important as finding the right salary.
If you're currently handling Personal Injury, RTA, EL/PL or Fast Track litigation and would like to understand what else is available in the Sheffield market, I'd be very happy to have a confidential conversation.
