Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a well established and successful Manufacturing business in Sheffield as they look to recruit a Financial Controller in to the team and support the Head of Finance.

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting function for the business including overseeing a team of 3 in finance. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing budgeting & forecasting as well as completing month end and year end reporting whilst providing insightful financial understanding to support key business decisions.

The company offers an excellent benefits package including: -

  • Salary up to £65,000 (Dependent on Experience)

This will be a varied role with duties to include: -

  • Oversee full month end close process, including management accounts, inventory valuations, balance sheet reconciliations and all other reporting, ensuring completion within strict group reporting deadlines
  • Developing, support and mentoring of 3 finance team members
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Working capital management
  • Responsibility for end-to-end financial processes and procedures
  • Actively review and drive improvements in KPI metrics
  • Ensure the production of timely, accurate financial and operational performance reports to the senior leadership team
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Support with the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Financial compliance lead for Tax, and both internal & external Audit requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences:-

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Practice trained would be highly advantageous
  • Demonstrable experience in a relevant manufacturing environment
  • Have advanced level IT skills
  • Previous experience of staff management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Positive working attitude and can-do approach to daily tasks
