Contract type: Temp - perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement 

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 6am-2pm

Unique School Solutions are supporting a Primary School in Sheffield to appoint a School Caretaker. The role will involve being responsible for unlocking and locking up the school, carrying out weekly fire alarm tests and keeping on top of other Health & Safety tests such as Legionella water testing. You will also be responsible for carrying out any general maintenance tasks around school, including DIT, gardening and cleaning where required. The role is to start in September 2026 and for the right person could lead to a permanent job after 12 weeks.

Essential requirements for the role:

- Previous DIY and maintenance skills

- Good Health & Safety awareness

- A flexible attitude and ability to adapt in a quick paced environment

- Experience of locking and unlocking buildings and setting alarms

- Previous experience of working in a school setting is desirable

- The ability to work under direction as well as using own initiative
