Job Title: Administration Officer

Hours: Monday - Friday - 4 longer days, 8am-6pm with day off in week. 37.5hrs per week

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Be responsible for contacting patients by letter and/or telephone to confirm and book appointments and hospital transport arrangements.

· Receive and make telephone calls via the busy contact centre. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt delivery.

· Ensure all outgoing patient correspondence is accurate and sent in a timely manner.

· Use email daily to read new messages, saving and deleting information as appropriate and in line with current policies.

· Provide a welcoming, friendly and polite reception service to patients and visitors attending the department across all sites.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust.

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Previous experience of using the telephone to speak to customers.

· Previous experience of working within an administrative role.

· Previous experience of using computers.
