People Operations Manager - Not for Profit Organisation - Remote with travel to Sheffield monthly (so you must live within a commutable distance to the city)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised People Operations Manager to oversee and continuously improve the organisation's operational infrastructure, people administration processes and governance frameworks.
This is a broad and very varied role sitting at the centre of the business, responsible for recruitment administration, HR operations, Employer of Record administration, onboarding and offboarding, workforce asset management, supplier management, training administration, compliance reporting and organisational KPI coordination.
The successful candidate will ensure that operational processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and consistently across both the organisation and its partners, supporting business growth through strong administration, reporting discipline and process governance.
This role would suit someone with a background in HR Operations, People Operations, Business Operations or Operational Management who enjoys owning processes, improving systems and ensuring a high standard of compliance and organisational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all recruitment administration activities, including candidate coordination, interview scheduling, offer management and onboarding support.
- Oversee employee life cycle processes, maintaining accurate HR records, onboarding, offboarding and appraisal administration.
- Manage Employer of Record (EOR) administration, ensuring employment documentation, compliance and international workforce records are maintained.
- Coordinate workforce suppliers, including EOR providers, HR partners and recruitment platforms, managing contracts, performance and service delivery.
- Maintain workforce asset management processes, including equipment allocation, asset registers, audits and leaver returns.
- Own and drive ClickUp governance, ensuring compliance, reporting standards, user adoption, system administration and process discipline across the organisation.
- Manage mandatory training programmes and compliance records, supporting areas such as data protection, equality, health and safety, remote working and financial crime.
- Coordinate organisational KPI reporting and management information, ensuring accurate dashboard data and performance insights.
- Provide operational support to partners, including recruitment, employment administration, onboarding, compliance and SLA performance reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement across operational processes, ensuring high levels of accuracy, compliance and service delivery.
Success in this role will be measured through the effective delivery of operational, HR and governance processes, including:
- Recruitment administration completed accurately and on time
- High levels of onboarding and offboarding compliance
- Accuracy and maintenance of personnel, employment and EOR records
- Successful completion of appraisal and mandatory training cycles
- Effective management of workforce suppliers and issue resolution
- Accurate workforce asset management and equipment recovery processes
- Strong ClickUp governance, compliance and audit outcomes
- Timely review and resolution of critical operational tasks
- Delivery of KPI reporting and business dashboard information to agreed deadlines
- Achievement of Operational Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Accurate administration and support of partner employment processes
- Continuous improvement of operational systems, controls and reporting
- Positive staff retention, engagement and satisfaction outcomes
About You

Essential Experience
- Experience in Operations, HR Operations, People Operations or Business Administration
- Strong administration and employee life cycle knowledge
- Experience managing multiple priorities and maintaining accurate records
- Knowledge of compliance, governance and reporting processes
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using workflow systems
Desirable Experience
- Employer of Record (EOR) administration
- Remote or international workforce support
- ClickUp or similar project management platforms
- KPI reporting and dashboard management
- Supplier management experience
