Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 -16:00 or 09:00 - 17:30 - On a rota basis

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Take calls for booking, changing appointments, queries regarding medication, bowel preparation.
• Reception duties for patients attending the Endoscopy Units, including all necessary changing and updating of personal details. This involves printing the patient’s wrist bands, labels for the notes.
• Recording patients’ attendance by admitting and discharging patients on the Hospital Systems.
• Prepare and collate of case notes for patients attending the department, both Endoscopy and Outpatients. 

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust.

• An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS  
• Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times  
• A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation 

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

• Previous experience of dealing with patients face to face and over the phone.
• Previous experience of working within an administrative role.
• Previous experience of working with computers.
