Audit and Accounts Semi Senior - #2128999

A well-established and growing accountancy practice is looking to appoint an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior to join its team. The firm has a strong reputation across the South Yorkshire market and works with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger organisations.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Semi Senior looking to take the next step in their practice career, gaining further exposure across both audit and accounts while working closely with experienced Managers and Partners. The role offers a varied workload and plenty of opportunity to continue developing your technical knowledge and client-facing experience.

This role would suit someone who already has experience within an accountancy practice and is either AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA or working towards their qualification. Someone who is confident managing their own workload and keen to continue progressing within practice would be well suited.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients
• Assisting with statutory audits from planning through to completion
• Preparing corporation tax and VAT returns
• Supporting with management accounts and other ad-hoc client work
• Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships
• Identifying and resolving accounting issues where required
• Supporting more junior members of the team and reviewing their work where appropriate
• Working closely with Managers and Partners to ensure deadlines are met
• Continuing to develop your technical knowledge across accounts and audit

Who you are:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience across both accounts and audit
• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/ACA, although QBE candidates will also be considered
• Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
• Ambitious and keen to progress your career within practice
