Working with a diverse client base that includes leading construction companies, housebuilders, housing associations and local authorities, the company delivers a wide variety of projects throughout the UK.

Projects range from smaller schemes such as school play areas through to larger commercial developments, airports, multi-storey car parks and major car dealerships.

The company is self-sufficient, owning its own plant and equipment including tracked excavators, JCBs, rollers and road paving equipment, while directly employing its own operators.

Health and safety is a major priority, with extensive employee training, regular toolbox talks and site briefings, and CHAS accreditation.

The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and commercially aware, with a strong focus on health and safety, quality and programme.

Most importantly, you will be comfortable taking a supervisory and management-focused approach, rather than being expected to carry out physical works yourself.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor – Groundworks, Highways & Surfacing to join a well-established and self-sufficient civil engineering contractor with a strong history, varied workload and directly employed workforce.

The role offers £45,000 – £50,000, a company van, permanent employment and the opportunity to oversee a variety of projects across the region.

If you are an experienced supervisor looking for a genuine non-working position where you can take responsibility for site delivery without being expected to work on the tools, this could be an excellent next step.
