Class 1 Tramping - Ongoing (own unit) - #2129906

We are recruiting reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for ongoing work. The role primarily involves trailer swaps, with nights spent away from base throughout the working week.

Drivers may have the opportunity to remain in the same vehicle, providing greater comfort and consistency while working away.

The role

• Completing trailer swaps at designated depots and delivery points
• Tramping throughout the UK
• Nights out in the vehicle
• Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks
• Completing all required paperwork accurately
• Keeping the vehicle clean and presentable
• Following drivers’ hours, Working Time Directive and site procedures
• Providing a safe and professional service at all times

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Valid Driver CPC card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Tramping experience preferred
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and road transport regulations
• A professional, dependable and flexible approach
• Comfortable spending nights away from home
