Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, they are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Sheffield office and drive new business opportunities across Yorkshire and the wider UK market.

This role is ideally suited to a commercially minded individual with a proven track record of winning new business and developing long-term client relationships. The successful candidate will ideally come with a strong network of contacts and an established "black book" within the construction, M&E, engineering, or building services sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with Main Contractors, M&E Contractors, Developers, Consultants, and End Clients.
  • Leveraging your existing network of industry contacts to generate opportunities and maximise revenue.
  • Developing and managing a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Attending networking events, industry exhibitions, and client meetings.
  • Preparing and presenting proposals, tenders, and commercial presentations.
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Achieving and exceeding agreed sales and growth targets.

About You

  • Proven experience in a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or Commercial role within Construction, M&E, Engineering, Building Services, or a related sector.
  • A strong network of industry contacts and decision-makers.
  • Demonstrable success in winning and developing new business.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially focused with a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

If you're an experienced Business Development Manager with an established network within the Construction, Mechanical & Electrical, or Engineering sectors, and you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
