TIG Welder / Production Technician – Automotive

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced TIG Welder to join our client's production team in Sheffield as a Production Technician (Welder/Fabricator). This is a hands on role producing high-quality stainless steel fabricated parts for the performance automotive exhaust market.

As a Production Technician/ Welder, you will:

• Obtain the daily planned work schedule and prepare your work station.
• Read through job information for each job.
• Obtain components and jig.
• Refer to the master copy for the pattern of the product and produce parts using stainless steel TIG welding.
• Record job times and attach job sheets to finished parts in the allocated area.
• Clear and prepare your work station ready for the next job.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by highlighting areas for development and finding solutions with the team.
• Ensure all Health & Safety rules are adhered to, and report any faults or system errors as appropriate.

Working Hours:

42 hours per week, working one of the following shift patterns:

• Option 1: Monday–Thursday 7.30am–5.00pm (30 min & 15 min flexible breaks); Friday 7.30am–3.00pm (30 min morning break)
• Option 2: Monday–Thursday 6.00am–3.30pm (30 min & 15 min flexible breaks); Friday 6.00am–1.30pm (30 min morning break)

About You:

This role is suited to someone who is confident, conscientious and competent, with existing experience in stainless steel TIG welding and associated equipment. A strong teamwork ethos and eagerness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment are essential, along with a good attendance record and the ability to quickly overcome challenges while maintaining high standards. An interest in motorbikes, cars or motorsport would be advantageous. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
