We are looking for a MIG Welder for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)

Rate of pay £17.00 per hour for basic hours

The Role

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out MIG welding and fabrication work to a high standard, working from engineering drawings and specifications.

Duties will include:

• MIG welding steel components and structures
• Working from engineering drawings and welding specifications
• Setting up welding equipment and selecting the appropriate settings
• Fabricating and assembling steelwork
• Checking welds and finished work to ensure quality and accuracy
• Using hand and workshop tools
• Working alongside Platers and other members of the fabrication team
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and production standards

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a MIG Welder
• Experience within a steel fabrication environment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good knowledge of MIG welding techniques
• Experience working with structural steel and fabricated components
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant welding/fabrication qualifications would be advantageous#

NVQ Level in Fabrication and Welding would be expected.
