Technical Document Controller - #2143067

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a highly established engineering business operating within the defence and safety-critical sectors. We are looking to recruit a Technical Document Controller to join their Quality team.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, this is a key role responsible for ensuring all technical documentation and certification associated with product delivery is accurate, complete and delivered on time.

As Technical Document Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the certification of products across all production routes
• Working closely with Production to ensure documentation is complete and accurate before submission
• Reviewing manufacturing records against internal procedures, customer specifications and relevant national standards
• Storing and maintaining production records to ensure they can be easily retrieved when required
• Supporting Project Managers and Production leadership to determine documentation completeness at key project gate stages
• Ensuring document and certification packs are correctly archived and readily accessible
• Liaising with Third Party Inspectors and Customer Representatives regarding documentation acceptance and sign-off
• Developing and maintaining an effective Document Management System

We are looking for someone with experience working within a technical, engineering or highly regulated environment, ideally within the defence or aerospace supply chain.

The successful candidate will have:

• At least 2 years' experience in documentation pack collation and document management software
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to document control
• The ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications and certification requirements
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• The confidence to liaise with Production, Project Teams, customers, suppliers and third-party inspectors
• A proactive approach to improving processes and document control systems
• A degree or equivalent qualification in a commercial or technical discipline would be desirable
