About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Consultant to join our People Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to influence organisational change, support managers on complex people matters, and contribute to the delivery of a modern, customer-focused HR service across a large and diverse local authority. As a senior HR practitioner, you will provide expert advice and consultancy across the full employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional, risk-based HR consultancy service.
• Support employee relations casework and formal procedures.
• Support organisational change and consultation processes.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide business-focused solutions.
• Develop HR policies, procedures and workforce initiatives.
• Use workforce data to inform decision making.

About You

• Experience within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting organisational change.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience.
