These teams are crucial in supporting hospital discharges and delivering short-term reablement care, helping people maintain independence and recover safely at home. Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and business support to frontline service teams.
- Manage incoming telephone calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Liaise confidently with service users, healthcare professionals, colleagues, and partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems and databases.
- Support the coordination of hospital discharge and reablement services.
- Process documentation and ensure information is handled confidentially and in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assist with scheduling, correspondence, meeting arrangements, and general office administration.
- Contribute to the smooth and effective running of the service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an office administration or business support role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence in dealing with service users and professionals via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining records and processing information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
Desirable:
- Experience working within a health, social care, NHS, or local authority environment.
- Knowledge of hospital discharge services, reablement services, or community-based care provision.
- Experience using case management or service-recording systems.
