SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference?

We're recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEND school in Sheffield supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly supportive environment that places wellbeing, inclusion and pupil development at the heart of everything it does.

The Role

• Support pupils with SEND in the classroom and around school.
• Work on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and within whole-class settings.
• Help pupils access learning and achieve their individual goals.
• Support the emotional, social and mental health needs of learners.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Promote a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment.

We're Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• A caring, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to support pupils with a range of learning, communication and behavioural needs.
• Experience in education, SEND, SEMH, autism, learning disabilities or care settings is highly desirable.
