We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of water infrastructure projects across the Yorkshire Water framework.

You will take responsibility for electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and the client to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the required technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate electrical engineering activities from design through to commissioning and handover.
  • Manage technical submissions, drawings and procurement schedules.
  • Review electrical procurement packages and subcontractor submissions.
  • Coordinate electrical and MEICA interfaces across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support installation, commissioning and resolution of technical queries.
  • Manage subcontractors and support project review meetings.
  • Assist with variations, valuations, cost control and commercial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with client, health & safety and quality requirements.
  • Support the Project Manager and deputise when required.

About You

  • Strong electrical engineering background within water, infrastructure or a similar process industry.
  • Good understanding of MEICA requirements within the water sector.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, procurement and project delivery.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of project cost control.
  • Experience delivering projects valued at £2m+.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • CSCS Card.
  • HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar is desirable.
  • Water sector experience and AE/AP experience would be advantageous.
